Sump Pump Discharge Line Evaluations
Backflow prevention assembly testing, repair, replacement and installation available. Fire-suppression backflow systems excluded.
Is your garbage disposal humming, leaking, stopping unexpectedly or leaving the sink slow to drain? S&J Plumbing can help evaluate whether the problem is with the disposal or the connected drain, and discuss repair or replacement.
Repair may be appropriate when a correctable problem can be addressed and the unit remains suitable for use. Replacement may make more sense when the disposal itself is worn or damaged and repair is not practical. A slow kitchen sink does not by itself prove the disposal needs replacing; a blockage farther along the drain may need attention.
When contacting us, share your city and ZIP code, the disposal’s brand or model if known, what happens when you try to use it, and where any leak appears. Mention whether the dishwasher or another sink is also having trouble draining.
Call 586-758-6237 or request garbage disposal service. For a recurring kitchen-drain blockage, see drain and sewer cleaning.
S&J Plumbing repairs and replaces interior water-supply lines and exterior underground water-service lines for homes in Fraser and eligible Macomb County communities.
Water lines inside your home
Tell us about visible pipe leaks, damp areas near water piping, repeated leaks or changes in water pressure. Let us know whether the problem affects one fixture or several. These details help us understand the request; the symptom alone does not establish which pipe needs work.
Underground water service outside your home
An unexplained increase in water use, persistent wet ground or reduced pressure may be reasons to discuss the underground water-service line. These signs can have other causes and do not confirm an underground leak. Tell us where you notice the problem and about any previous water-service repairs.
Repair or replacement
The appropriate scope depends on the location and extent of the problem, the condition of the line and available access. A localized problem may be suitable for repair; a line with more extensive deterioration may need replacement. We can discuss the findings and proposed work before you decide how to proceed.
